AFI is pleased to confirm that the Touch Footy World Cup is now part of the World 9s.
All teams in the Touch Footy Division of the World 9s are mixed (men & women). All matches are non-contact, with a one hand touch replacing a tackle.
History
The inaugural Touch Footy World Cup was held in Melbourne in 2021. Four editions of the event were held, before it was incorporated into the AFI World 9s in 2026.
2024 Champions: Solomon Islands (Division 1), Solomon Islands (Division 2), Colombia (Division 3)
2023 Champions: Switzerland (Division 1), Netherlands (Division 2), El Salvador (Division 3)
2022 Champions: Switzerland (Division 1), Nepal (Division 2)
2021 Champions: Haiti (Division 1), Mexico (Division 2)
